The Arctic Circle is presented as both a geographic region and as a metaphor for the interest groups involved with it. Site editor Norman Chance presents the history and culture of the region as well as its natural resources and economic and environmental concerns. Discussions on why this region is important and the impact of its development by outside interests are planned for inclusion in the 'Virtual Classroom.'
